8 Super Cool LGBTQ+ Owned Businesses to Support

We found 8 LGBTQ+ owned businesses that not only sell some really cool stuff but are also doing amazing things to support and help the LGBTQ+ community.

“QPOC, women owned and operated, we celebrate culture and identity through limited edition and one of a kind creative goods.”

In addition to selling products, they also participate in passion projects. Many of which have consisted of them creating amazing murals.

“As a queer-owned business, Otherwild centers ethics at the core of our business and mission. This has taken various shapes and forms throughout the years: supporting artists and designers with shared values and concerns at the core of their practice, dedication to fair wages and labor practices, researching/changing/ensuring that exploitation and destruction do not define our chain of production, eliminating products that employ a majority of single-use plastics in their design and carrying products that are made with care and awareness of their impact and design.”

 

“TomboyX was founded the way many brands are, trying to fill a need that had gone unfilled for far too long. We asked ourselves, “How hard can it be to make good underwear?” And by that we meant underwear that fit regular bodies and fit how we saw ourselves. And underwear that any body could feel comfortable in, regardless of where they fell on the size or gender spectrum.”

They also donate to a variety of organizations including BrandsXBetter, YouthCare, Discovering Gender, and Street Teens.

Dfrnt Pigeon is a social enterprise where mentors work with marginalized youth to create designs for their apparel and lifestyle brand to develop a career path through paid design work.

Our mission is to create a space in the fashion world where all are welcome without judgment. Stuzo Clothing is a gender free clothing company designed to invoke thought and emotion. Our brand is for the non-conforming and bold at heart. Our pieces are gender free as we prefer to call them because clothes don’t have any organs last time we checked. We are inspired by love, people and life. Whatever shape or form you choose to exist in, we celebrate that!"

"Bianca’s Design Shop is a small independent shop that features rad pins, creative goods, & other cute things made with love in Queens, NY. The shop is run by Queer Latinx Artist, Bianca Negron.

Her goals are to keep improving her skills, be as inclusive as possible and build her brand. She enjoys creating cute, cool, weird, fun & random things and loves that she can share this stuff with people who are into the same things!"

Proceeds from her Love Knows No Gender products are donated each month to a foundation supporting LGBTQ+ people

And speaking of rights, in 2018 alone, we raised over $400k for charities that support reproductive, immigrant, and women’s/human rights."

 

Revel and Riot is a nonprofit organization that uses the t-shirt as a canvas to promote LGBTQ+ equality, pride, visibility, and justice. They also offer resources for and about LGBTQ+ people, attend pride events, and donate to other LGBTQ+ organizations.
