Do you remember when you first got your period? I remember when I was in 9th grade I was in my math class. We were talking about periods and I still hadn't gotten mine, which I thought was weird at 14. I think I jinxed it because a few days later I got it. Now it wasn't horrible when it started. It started at home and my mom was super sweet about it. And with helping me and everything. It wasn't until it had been going for about 2-3 years that it got bad. And my periods weren't regular so I knew when it did come it would be bad.

The worst experience you had with your period: when I was a senior in high-school I remember a period where it was a heavy flow, like always, and on top of that my cramps get so bad! So bad that medicine can't even help. I just put a heating pad on full blast and try to get over it. But I was in so much pain I actually threw up from it. Not fun to throw up because you are in so much pain! I just have to get through the 7 day horrible period.

What is the worst part of having a period? Physically? Emotionally?

I think physically. I always feel gross because I have to use pads now (because tampons hurt because I have to have such a big size) and so I feel like I need to shower like 5 times a day. On top of that I feel exhausted and moody and people judge you if you "are on your period" because they think it's funny. Like I wish I didn't bleed out my vagina once a month! I just feel blah.

How you currently try to combat problems regarding your period:

Heating pads and I have my husband massage my stomach and back. Like I don't even take medicine because I know it doesn't help.

What’s your period “hack”?

Heating pad on full blast!! Which is why I wanted to get your product!

What do you wish other people understood about having a period?

I wish everyone had them so that it wasn't such a negative thing. Or that pads and tampons could be reduced in price because everyone would use them. I wish they understood that they happen regularly and they aren't going away so they need to be nicer .

What do you wish you understood when you were younger about having a period? What would you tell yourself?

Just to relax the best I could and that pregnancy is the best because you don't have a period haha.

What would you tell young girls about their periods?

I'm not very good at advice but I would tell them to not take the negativity from others who just blame your mood on periods. Those people are toxic.

Thanks Regan for sharing your story.
